jean @ 6/8/8 now :) … my mora? wow I’m glad you asked… but it’s simply not appropriate to speak of a lady’s finances… anyway that’s all for talents for now. gotta level up her sword [babe I’m so sorry I’m making you go around with a lvl70 sword, it should be 90 right now] … honestly I should do a 80/80 resin split for artifacts v. character building shit but like… I need better artifacts more than I need to ascend/level…but I do wanna get jean to level 80… anyway it is seriously so satisfying to have JEAN. my beloved<3
but wow I am so glad all those prefarmed resistance books came in handy. but RIP to razor. and also everyone else on my team whose talents I’m ignoring in favour of my anemos. the sad truth is, everyone’s going to be at a4/a5, 6/6 for the e/q until my anemos have their artifacts and are a6. at least the 6/8/8 requirement is complete THO :D seriously. got jean 3 days ago and she’s as well invested, perhaps even more, than like characters I’ve been using the whole time (xingqiu) (xingqiu) (xingqiu) (XINGQIU).
to be fair to xingqiu, he is and probably will remain my pfp. maybe I’ll switch to kazuha When I Get Him [I Need Him. I’m Manifesting. I’m Speaking It To Existence. I Will Win The 50/50. ‘Want me to come along?’ Yes, Yes I Do], but even then that’ll be temporary and maybe won’t even happen because I’ll put him in my character showcase so people will know anyway. fuck yeah. anyway, everyday I’m like. I’m Going To Ascend Him. and everyday, I Don’t Ascend Him. he deserves to be level 80 and he Is one of my favourites. I promise. I swear. there’s a reason he’s my pfp!!!
also, I was always more of a fan of his eng va than his jpn va BUT I was rewatching this and the emotion that carries through at ‘Make my voice!’ (or I guess it’s ‘Let me weave you a verse’ though I think ‘Make my voice!’ is a stronger sentiment.) just got me so bad so I love jp dub now too. besides it still has the most important feature: Boy Who Is Voiced By A Girl. honestly that is the most perfect trait ever and all his vas are girls which just means that they really understood his character concept. but like seriously the [warning: bad romanization incoming] ‘uttai onish to nare!’ is sooooooo. the thing I like about the eng is that it really captures how pretentious and stupid and silly little boy he is with that really particular accent … it’s So Him imo, but the other dubs express that really intense chivalric intent better. like the eng’s failing is that it’s not particularly emotional but it is my favourite still……. the ‘may this day of your birth be filled with much mirth!’ is sooooo endearing and lovely and beautiful to meeeee. see, I am extremely fond of him and I will ascend and 80 him. it Will Happen!
btw my character showcase is just jean and venti. when I get Kazuha he will be there too… as you can tell I’m building a collection of very well loved and cherished and built anemos……. It’s My Favourite Element. I don’t care about other considerations. but I will list them: terrible offensive reaction, not F2P friendly. but once again: I Don’t Care. best element. my favourite element. also I’m a fan of swirl. Personally.
also, given the state of artifacts I’m getting…girl guess who’s going to be stuck farming VV domain forever? it’s OK THO… well no. but IT IS. I’m resigned to this… they keep giving me really good VV pieces for diona and really good maiden’s pieces for Anyone Else. the world if they didn’t do that. I feel like I have to start artifact fodder farming but I….Don’t Want To Do That… anyway.
also, I finally did [some] of the abyss! I definitely don't have the gear to do floor 11 and 12 yet buuuut as I've always figured... floor 9 and 10 are jokes if u have venti. and I, I have a venti. A Built Venti. omg I played with my bestie [real, not vernacular] yesterday and she has Venti but she just hasn't built him which I'm like?! EH!? she also has hu tao and xiao and jean and zhongli and I think she said she recently got diluc too... there's no words I guess... she's doing this thing where she's building like 14 different characters at once so everyone is at level 50 and it's ummm...Hmmmm.... but she should play the way she wants to!!!

I have 21 stars... floor 9,10 and 11-1... 11-1 I got away with because it has no timer so my lack of dps didn't matter as much and also, all these chambers are easy when you have .... VENTIMONIOUS. I think 11-1 would've been harder to cheese through if I didn't have an double anemo set-up since the cooldowns would've fucked with energy regen BUT I did. so! I got fucked for 11-2 though LOL...
anyway... I'll just write out my reflections.
floor 9,10
venti - xingqiu - jean - yanfei / xiangling - kaeya - diona - razor
OK I knew these two floors were going to be jokes because if you have venti they're jokes. also if you're levelled they're jokes. but especially the venti thing. cuz it's just Mobs. and you know who's good for Mobs? that's right. VENTIMONIOUS. anyway, like I've known for a while that I could do this no problem the only thing holding me back was. FLOOR 8 and it's RUIN HUNTERS. but we've defeated the evil<3 and so my 350 primogens have been claimed. anyway anyway. I had to retry the 3rd chamber for both floors, which wasn't a team comp problem just a >do better at rotations and fix time losses< which I did :D ...
the only fuck up was when I thought I should use my 2nemo team for the second half instead of the first half on 10-3 because I thought it'd spawn more than one frostarm lawachurl but it DIDN'T!!! and like 2nemo are waaaay better at handling the fatui agents than my razor team since jean can push one towards the other and then venti just ults and then it's uhhhhhh Over. and then for second half ... Listen if you have diona shield, cryo attacks can't do anything to you so.
comp-wise... IMO super solid teams!!! 2nemo2nerd esp has really good ER management which is important for Them, while team razor has CRYO REASONANCE [that broken ass reasonance] which also enables superconduct 100% of the time and also diona healing field and also also xiangling allows for both melt and overloaded and I won't lie. overloaded actually really useful and epic IMO. my razor team is also like proof that 4pc noblesse is broken. just saying.
anyway 11-1 was the most interesting because I originally started off with the same team comps as with floor 9 and 10, but on my first attempt I was really stupid and I tried to use jean's cleanse before doing venti's ults but that just led to a lot of monolith health loss and then my razor team Super Suuuper struggled with taking the mobs out bc. Uh. Low DPS. and it became clear to me the best way to preserve the monolith in the second half was to bring permafreeze so they couldn't attack it while I took forever to kill them. but you're like. Razor's A Claymore. You'll Shatter Them. and yeah. that did happen and I knew it would BUT - BUT! you just freeze them again. and then shatter them again. and then freeze them again. xingqiu is Broken for that reason BTW. you CAN permafreeze with a claymore they just tell u u can't to suppress you. it's the same as like is a circle made of an infinite number of points or is it a continuous line? either way. it's a circle.
anyway, second time around I was like Fuck Slowing Water, All My Homies Don't Give A Shit About Slowing Water. and that's why you run two batteries on the same team. you need 100% uptime on burst off CD? either run a battery and funnel. OR run 3 favonious weapons... ngl I think the favonious weapons saved my ass second half...esp with XQ.
tangentially, I was looking at a discussion on XQ and people really think he has energy issues without sac sword. he doesn't!!! I have an ER timepiece on him but it's not even levelled. if you're running him on 200% ER [which is where it Should Be], you can still have burst on CD... and I run him on a team with an energy deficit!!! honestly the only thing you lose out on w/o sac sword is the DPS you get from the second charge of his e. also I just think in general fav weapons are a little underrated... imo they're too looked down on even though the passive is so good, esp on ER reliant supports because PARTICLES. it's easier to see the merit of them in longer battles than with waves of weaker mobs because there's less passive energy regen. and with longer CDs but like OK whatever I'm getting too passionate. but it's true!!! I think this just stems from ER being one of the most underlooked stats in general... bitches will see an ER substat and be like 'skip!' but what they don't understand is that if you don't have ER u don't have burst and if you don't have burst then ur missing out on mad windows of Damage. in the words of OkCode: There Is Only One Stat In The Game That Gives You Your Ult Back Faster. I also think paying attention to ER makes you more attuned to funneling and skill management...anyway ER is the best stat to invest in no one gets it.
anyway. back to my abyss teams. as always kaeya runs unlevelled 4pc noblesse; xiangling runs whatever atk% artifacts are free that have the best ER [which ended up being 2instructor's, 2glad LOL], everyone else runs their suboptimal builds which means because I have to share artifacts between 6 characters, I have mix and match instead of being able to give them their best options.... so venti runs 2noblesse, jean ran 2vv and 2maiden's, razor had 2bloodstained, and yanfei got to keep her build because her artifacts are BiS for her... but the thing about crappy gear but good ER is that you just spam burst and skills!!! if everyone does a lot of mediocre damage at once... It Still Adds Up!!!
IN THE OVERWORLD THO...
things look a lotttt different. again I just run 2nemo/2nerd, but I'll switch out yanfei for razor depending on Mining Needs. it doesn't matter that razor's artifacts are fucked up cuz 2nemo carries anyway. overworld jean carries 2bloodstained 2vv, venti still only has 2noblesse but he has better CR:CD [40:110]... xq and yanfei are p.much untouched except basically venti and xq switched flowers which I bit the bullet and allowed because venti and jean can anemo battery e/o so they don't need as much ER and because I levelled a noblesse feather so I have more mobility with artifacts. very limited mobility. but At least there is more of it!!!
I think... while artifacts offer some of the dopamine I'm missing out on by lack of wishing [#KAZUHACOMEHOMEFUND], you know...everyone's at a pretty decent place...so I should Actually Be Farming Ascension Materials. which is also indirect gladiator farming. which is my endgoal jean build. but lol. Mora. Mora. Mora. but actually I should get on that so I guess I will get on it.
