— this was a pretty good exploration team. I ran a crit venti build for his wind current being extremely useful and then I was like haha! I forgorrr this guy was pretty fun to use!!! and then I switched in jean once and never went back. I legit have like, separation anxiety if I don’t use jean in my teams. ganyu kills everything in the overworld supah supah fast and even faster if kazuha is there. so.
rotation: diona hold E > swirl cryo > ganyu CA. everything dies! people explode!

[daily comms friendship collection] — jean / chongyun>yae / qiqi / ganyu
— remember what I said about separation anxiety when No Jean? LOLLL. Ok it’s true that I was originally running jean because she’d one-shot everything when I was trying to get friendship with extremely unbuilt/unartifacted characters [sara, beidou, xinyan, razor] … but now she’s here because I Love Her…
— you’d think with me running jean on every team she’d have like…her support build [4vv, ER] but uh. No. nope. no. UPDATE: lvl90'd skyward blade and put jean on 4noblesse 200% ER build ummm SO GOOD. SUPPORT JEAN SLAYS!!!!

honestly no matter how I look at it, all these tweets are seriously still true. you're like how is Jean Knightley tho? [1] repressed, [2] kind and unfailingly polite and courteous, [3] can you just read this wikipedia article and be like Ohhh. Holy shit. She IS like that. I think KAEYA-EMMA paralleling relies on two things: (1) kaeya being a [society] lady, (2) kaeya being a younger sibling. I guess you could add (3) kaeya being a troublemaker, but that one is obvious is it not? also to me, inclinations of mischief and thinking you're smartest of world is all younger_siblingism. anyway, we'll move forward with this motivation.

interesting to note that Kaeya's profile focuses a lot on his social accuem and relationships with Mondstadt's people, the knights, the criminals, etc. in contrast to his counterparts [diluc, jean], who want to so badly protect this vision of Mondstadt and end up becoming removed from it, he [noted outsider] is the one who truly embodies the ideals of Mondstadt [drinking, freedom(on the surface)] and knows it's people in and out. as mentioned, the more personable half to jean/diluc. if this literally does not strike you as a lady trait, idk what to tell you! you have no idea what ladyism is and I seriously can't accept shit from

for someone who 'claims' to hate KoF work... anyway. I won't include every line where he's complained about his work.

though I do want to point out that an extremely ladylike characteristic of his is that even though he really does not gaf about a lot of the knights stuff/protocol, he really respects and stresses it still. he's the best of the knights when it comes to introducing his title and his association ... IMO EMPHASIS ON POSITION/HIERARCHY/DECORUM is extremelyyyy lady trait ... it's also SOOO potent when he stresses that his personal tactics and business are not at all representative of the knights

(2) YOUNGER SIBLING

you're like... But Popular Fanon Takes Have Lead Me To Believe Otherwise. I would like to point out:

(a) nothing is confirmed in canon, other than kya's birthday being way later in the year and diluc's way earlier.

(b) [*copies everything his brother does*] is literally the most younger sibling trait of all time. just all fucking time. that's how you clock one. I would know. [op is younger sibling in question]

(c) [way more invested in his brother's life and going-ons than his brother is invested in him] the NEED for brotherly attention and acknowledgement is so fucking funny. diluc brushing him off and kaeya going '...And ANOTHER Thing...' you desperate little freak. this is literally what happens in the last scene in diluc story quest. I DIED.
my second point of evidence is kya's character stories and vcs about diluc — where he's being extremely bitchy about diluc versus diluc's complete lack of acknowledgement re: kaeya in his stories, and then the way he seriously just doesn't give a fuck in his vcs, and also in general. the palpable [[annoying younger sibling / barely tolerates him older sibling]]

(d) general need for validation of love via acts of service. or just kya's general need for other people to prooove they love him or like him or would at least do things for him. you're like - but this could be an anyman trait for any guy. and TRUE but the way kya does it is v younger sibling. the mixture of being obvious, teasing, coy, genuine surprise re: agreement but accepting very graciously. sorry for being a younger sibling. some crimes can be forgiven.
examples: "He takes pleasure in seeing the hesitation in his comrades' eyes at the moment just before they dive into battle with him, just as he takes pleasure in the look of fear in his enemies' eyes as they face off against him.", literally anytime ever the Traveller compliments him, his horrifying reaction at jean's birthday party, etc.

(e) SPOILED BRAT. diluc who's like 'fuck this guy I hate this guy' and lets him hang around anyway and does everything he asks anyway. [no legit]
jean who doesn't believe in kaeya's discretion herself [check vc] is still like 'well... You don't have all the facts.' and those are? 'That I love him.' (...) you're like there is no way this is true...BUT IT IS. everyday Amber is like I Fucking Hate Kaeya, Fuck Kaeya, He's the Worst Knight In The World, WHYYYY DOES JEAN LIKE HIM. you: she never said this. me: CONNECT THE GODDAMN DOTS IN HER VOICELINES

now, the Real Meat of this.

(3) THE EMMA/KNIGHTLEY DYNAMIC

kaejean has it all.

- the extreme repression.
- the regard for something higher than romance. in emma/knightley, it was about Mr. Woodhouse, while for kj it's about The Knights. The Austenian Romance [social positioning defines interactions and dynamics].
- The Extremely Unromantic Romance. LOVE WHEN IT IS NOT ABOUT EACH OTHER BUT ABOUT THE THINGS EACH OTHER HOLDS DEAR >>>. seriously Emma only falling in love with Knightley when she sees how considerate he is of Harriet, while Kaeya dedicates himself to the Knights when he sees how dedicated Jean is to Knighthood.
- Emma accepting Knightley because he is very considerate of her father. Kaeya accepting Jean, knowing Jean is the Dandelion Knight more than she is a person. that she is a Knight before she's a lady, and she is for Mondstadt before she belongs to anyone else. okay I admit that this one comes off as me saying words, but if you get it you get it.
- sorry it seriously is like. [*most eligible bachelor in town falls prey to resident bitchimonious lady*]. the way everyone in mond would give it all up for One Chance with Jean and instead, it's Kaeya who gets to throw parties for her and do her leftover paperwork(!!!)
- love is about trust, loyalty, fealty. not actually about love.
- horrible little mix. kind honourable noble mature partner

I hope this was convincing. I will spend all day arguing on this. yes, it's not a 1 to 1, but they have all the KEY traits. and that's what's really important.

this is literally not even the post I wanted to make but uh. I have to. very light on analysis, mostly a reference post

preface, disclaimers

quick note, Jean always refers to Kaeya as either 'Kaeya', or Captain Kaeya', with the latter being far more uncommon.

other quick note, Kaeya's pretty fond of referring to people by their titles, though he'll exchange between [title][name] and [name] often enough. I think he calls Amber '[adj.] Outrider' a couple times, but that always comes off more playful than official.

other other quick note, Varka is almost always referred to only by title ['Grand Master (Varka)'], whereas with Jean, everyone tends to refer to her more as 'Master Jean' or simply Jean, or you know '[AGM] Jean'. within the knights and also People Who Know Her Personally, Kaeya does stick out so bad for solely insisting on AGM, which is whyyyy this post exists.

LAST NOTE: the only other person who is as stringent about referring to Jean as AGM is EULA. however um, she has spoken of Jean, only four times. so not a lot of evidence to work with. though in her teaser, she refers to her as 'That Gunnhildr girl'. also, Eula being the only other person to do this actually just adds to my point about Pointed Workplace Dynamics rather than detract from it.

honestly, results of this are pretty inconclusive. but also, um, unlike nearly everyone else who will usually say 'AGM Jean' at least once. he has literally never done that. so there is definitely hints of ummm, separating personal name from professional title. also, when he refers to her as 'Jean' there is usually a more personal touch to it.

I would assign Kaeya as having similar diseases to Barbara, except Kaeya is way better at remembering himself than Barbara is (i.e, Barbara basically loses all pretenses after calling Jean AGA once, but Kaeya does not). kaeya and eula having similar stances on how they want to refer to jean is literally CTFUUUU but at least Eula literally has family rivalry/sworn enemyhood/etc to fall back on. WHAT'S KAEYA'S EXCUSE?

I think the most damning of the evidence compiled, is his voicelines, since they're very. They. you know how it is. but funniest has to be golden apple archipelago, like holy shit, how are you going to calling her AGM straight to her face after she first names you.

this time, chamber 3 only took me 4 tries LOOOL. but also, this whole fucking floor is a joke if you're an anemo main. and well, me, I'm an anemo main. both teams are very... quickswap/button-mashing friendly haha.

first half: kazuha - fischl - xingqiu - jean
holy fuck, this side did chamber 3 in 30s. seriously c1 + sac sword with EM kazu. basically. hit E 3 times in a row. and then what happens? idk if something isn't dead, just do it again. his cooldowns are a joke. I guess this is like technically main dps kazu, but that's just cuz everything DIES so fast with EM EC on anemos.

second half: venti - kaeya - diona - yanfei
2cryo yanfei is a fucking struggle comp. and the only reason it works is because she has venti!!! grouping + cryo app to enable melt LOOOL. like, when it does damage it works! and thankfully floor 11 is free for venti :D obviously 4vv EM venti, but, more importantly, WIDSITH YANFEI!!! finally pulled a widsith!!! before she was like 60% CR with no CD but now. now she has a legit set with um. more atk than before so! etc etc finally doing some damage without reactions we are ALL happier.

floor 12

cleared all floors with 2* in one go. so that was good. I don't know if I can 3* any...but like maybe also I Can. but that might actually require playing good. yoooo for someone who knows how elemental reactions work and compose teams around that.. I literally do not put the effort in to make sure they're happening the way they should. so there is MAAAD amounts of room for improvement. the thing about floor 12 is that for 11, there is a lot of ability to cheese so I can split my units so the relative team power levels are like 60-70 : 40-30 yk... the problem with floor 12 is the fucking GEOVISHAPS chamber 1. otherwise everything else is pretty doable. I think... listen chamber 2 & 3 are made for anemo characters and I ...as I have said, Am an anemo main.

first half: venti - xingqiu - diona - yanfei
maybe 2cryo can work better. we'll never know. this is fine. on every chamber except chamber 1 where it's hell. but also this isn't fine because I legit don't have the damage LOL. chamber 2 was easier last time because the blessing was better [none of my teams. ever need to worry about energy. like they just don't, do u know how many fav weapons I run? Too Many!!!] but it's fine this time too. something something melt yanfei is Good actually. again the only reason this team comp works is because venti infuses cryo. everyone say thank u venti.

second half: kazuha - fischl - xiangling - jean
this team taking down the herald's shield [hydro shield, no cryo]... you simply have to laugh. perhaps I should've switched xiangling out for kaeya but like... LR... overloaded. IDK something. I think barbara on this side to replace xingqiu is fine TBH and should work [basically 4tf kazu comp with venti but for heavy enemies and kazu is on 4vv bc I have sac sword + c1]. IDK I'll fuck around and figure it out. goddddd. kazuha/xiangling/jean AND kazuha/fischl/jean are both really great cores ... Both fish and xiangling there at the same time is a little....

anyway. not bad not bad... I levelled a widsith up to 80 and a sac sword to 90 and now I have ... 300 mystic enhancement ores left. so that's Sad. the only fodder weapons I have are mappa mare [useful on em yanfei] and the flute [the only flute that I have] technically I also have uhhhmmmm my two claymores since I dropped #claymore_mainism but... you never know!!!

anyway... I'm currently watching a twitch whale struggle with 11k points on the vagabond event, and I don't like the team he went with, and so I'm just going to comment on the max point whale clears I've seen. I'll point out when the whaleism matters. like I understand it theoretically but I don't think it's a good team for day7. but I watched henna-oyaji's day7 clear [with and without food] and I think this is such a well-built team that I have to comment.

EULA - FISH - ZHONGLI - JEAN

firstly, I think these events really show off eula's niche suuuuuper well. like the nuke damage for super tanky enemies ... so true queen! and in terms of whaleism, eula c6 was a huge thing [extra stacks + extra phys. bonus + lowered CD]. zhongli c2 mattered and c6 came in clutch once but not really LOL. jean c2 was a Nice bonus I think, but ultimately wasn't a huge thing. r5 pines, pretty alright. r5 freedom sworn was a big one since 40% atk is prettyyyyy important.
I think this team and their respective builds did a really good job in circumventing the most crippling downsides of this challenge - lack of ER + lack of atk. both fish and zhongli have fav weapons to constantly generate particles [and they use this so much in both clears], eula gives up a lot of crit damage for 180% ER, and jean is on a full healer/support. I think for this event c6 jean would go crazy and I initially assumed jean was on the team for c6, but I think it's c3 & c2 that do the work here. and just that she's crazy good support in general.
fish running 4milileth was a crazy great decision - the fullset bonus helps a shitton AND she constantly generates particles.
the beauty of this clear was that yeah, like #whaleism_required, but it wasn't reliant on whale damage the way it was reliant on whale resources? like a lot of other clears focus on pure damage, but this team is really well-thoughtout and prioritizes the ability to consistently hit hard [use eula burst] and utilizes the kit of every character to make it happen. also it's one of the only teams that works to shred the extra resistance [superconduct + eula kit + zhongli shield] and that's why this team was able to clear with no food where there's no fucking way other whale teams would be able to. also one of the only clears that shows actual mechanical skill.

PERMAFREEZE: [VENTI] or [FISH] - [KAEYA] - [XINGQIU] - [JEAN]
rotation: KAEYA QE > XQ EQ > VENTI E > JEAN

if you need more particles, then it's [XQ E > KAEYA E] freeze with kaeya's E procs his A4 passive, which gives him More Particles...
if venti is on team, he runs 4vv, otherwise jean will. it doesn't actually matter when you proc because you can just keep continuously proccing... kaeya runs 4NB with 200% ER [not that he Needs It but LOL]
freeze is broken so this is just broken LOL. kaeya runs 4NB with a truly insane amount of ER, venti runs 4VV and jean just auto attacks her way to victory.
goddd this is soooo broken in taishan mansion. well with two enemies in particular, because jean E can swirl the cryo over to the next enemy which then freezes for free...
fish is not like...a Good fit for this team but I sub her in to proc LR's passive LOL

ELECTROCHARGE VENTI: [VENTI] - [XINGQIU] - [FISH] - [JEAN]
rotation: XQ E > VENTI Q > FISH Q > JEAN EQ

EM venti build. you infuse his burst with hydro and then swirl electrocharge x100. you could probably do fish and xq right after each other, but this order ensures the hydro infusion. you can also EQ like regular with venti instead of Q then switch [x2] then E, but this rotation is more DPS which matters mostly in ABYSS 11.
which Yes, this team is my team1 for floor 11 and how I got past 11-2. ec is literally so fucking broken on venti Everything Melts. not like it didn't before but like even More Now.
this is also what's getting me sub 60s VV runs LOL. everything dying in one cycle and every burst u used comes back in one cycle >>>>
and lastly. this is also what finally won me the fucking 4 ruin guard challenge.

I also use this team as like a pseudo-quickswap/jean carry with venti batterying her...LOL overloaded yanfei was nottt cutting it for the maguu kenki fight, and then I was like 'Alright fine, it's time to use JEAN' [which meant switch in venti because she gets her burst off cd] and I crushed in like much less time with much less dying LOL. #ThePowerofJean. no but for real.
jean is like my...everything basically. okay no but like she's like... okay you know when you're messing around with team comps and shit and 'testing' and to make sure if they all die or if it sucks, you have your backup unit to solo everything if she needs to? that's my jean. that's who Jean is To Me. jack of all trades perfect in everything!!! helps that she's my only built character and her build is on it's way to busted LOLOLOL. but also I am actually good at using her so.

EDIT: I switched jean out for yanfei and tried this out on 11-2-1. um. I finished in like 5 seconds. venti has about 650 EM and yanfei has about 400. fish has 1.4k attack. everyone else has 1.1k attack. no one has any meaningful crit or crit damage other that fish, who's single target anyway so it doesn't matter. EM IS BROKEN.
finishing in 5 seconds was actually really bad because I needed my bursts for 11-3, which could've been bad. but I ended up finishing 11-3 in 30s~ish anyway. so that's how you know EM is busted now >_< broken ass team.
WHICH ALSO BTW. means I got 2* on 11-3 which... I think I can 3* if I just play better LOL...

OK to be honest I solo everything with jean because Um. Fave Character. Jean Mainism Diseases. Etc. for jean v. everything it's fish E > jean. fish for the lr passive proc <33
anyway, EM yanfei build... 7k on overloaded procs [but 1K if she's not the one proccing it >.<] also like xq fish get off electrocharges and then yanfei hits both overload and vaporize. it's good in theory. it's Alright in practice. the balance of [ATK% to EM to CRIT] on yanfei is genuinely so hard LOL. eventually you have to commit. so my plan is like. build beidou and run full EM yanfei because EM is such a cheap fucking stat. no for real you don't need to build crit or atk, just stack em and do 10k every overload proc LMFAOOO.

I also run 2nemo + kaeya + fish or xq for exploring LOL. mostly fish because LR and also in the archipelago ec is pretty free. but also none of that matters because Jean Main. and I only use jean always and forever.

anyway not to be like #savingsthread. but I'm on 65 pity? on 50/50 but I Will Get Kazuha. and then like I should have enough wishes leftover to also pull yomiya ~_~ they both slayyy. OK so, I though I was officially done leveling my characters + talents + weapons and so I was like… [Diluc VC] TIME FOR….... ARTIFACT FARMING. and I managed to do 2?3? days of that. and then I finally got my free wishes and hit soft pity on standard and got JEAN. so originally, I was going to farm the VV domain … what I ended up doing was using my fragile resin to SuperBoost Jean. so that was. that’s. you know. y’know. it’s JEAN she deserves everything I can offer her.

but LOOOL…man so, I had some hurricane seeds prefarmed to prep for venti a6… which huh. gotta start from scratch there. and do double the amount now. but it’s FIIIIINEEEEEEEEE. but I can’t tell u how convinced I was that I’d never get jean. like the day before I pulled her, I alchemied all my anemo fragments into chunks into gemstones. and then I alchemied all my resistance books into gold books because like, I...man I was like NO ONE but RAZOR will EVER NEED THESE BOOKS... if u think about it.... look at the list of people who use the resistance books! ..like the only characters I would've built are jean and mona! I had a 1/16 chance of getting jean. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!?

anyway, so in this moment in time, I will be returning to the Forsaken Rift. that’ll be Fun. and also. now. at this moment in time. I have no remaining dust of azoths [had to use them to turn all my topazes into turquoises]....so....I'll continue to get cucked by the 17 million topaz things I Still have in my inventory. I don’t get it. I only transform my topaz materials. tell me why that never gets rid of them? how can such a thing even make sense?

whatever. all that matters is that I’m going to 6/8/8 my jean and 80/80 her. that’s going to take a while. BUT IT’LL HAPPEN. it’s like. 140 hero’s wits…which is 14 CD…which is 4 days. and 6 runs of anemo cube. which is two days. let’s not stress over the books. or the mora. the mora’s like. 560k just for levelling… that’s…. 5 CD runs. so another 2 days. and then. fuck it it’s going to take SO LONG.

re: JEAN

the thing is I just wanna have a really well-invested jean. why? so I can run co-op domains with her. again, why? because usually I just either go venti or yanfei or razor. sometimes if we need a hydro applier, I go XQ. but jean solves every problem I have.

let’s look at the crimson witch domain for example. the domain of evil as it should be called. pre-jean, I’d never go in there. why?
(a) what would yanfei do there?
(b) razor would die...he'd just Die
(c) what would venti do there?

the problems lie as follows:
(a) a lot of domains are actually kinda pyrophobic. especially crimson witch. CW and taishan mansion have like mad pyro resist. she’d be even worse than usual ESP since my yf is built for reactions not pure pyro. which is 100% F2Pism ;_;
(b) razor is just so fragile. obviously it’s because I suck at dodging but it’s also his own fault for having such high resistance to interruption so his hp is just getting chipped away while he’s attacking and u don’t even NOTICE cuz he’s not getting knocked around.
(c) you know at higher levels. most artifact domains stop being venti-friendly. so he’s not the greatest pick.

now Jean. jean. man jean. guys, she can CC, she provides energy, she does DAMAGE. she can HEAL. incredible anemo support jean. the ideal pick. I seriously would love to show up to a domain with a JEAN. I want to be the person who brings jean to domains. and I’m going to make that dream come True. god do I sound like tuonto. I’m so sorry if I do…but it’s true…in the Ideal World…we’d All be JeanMainsNA.

farming will happen. while jean gets built? after jean gets built? sometime. eventually. I originally chose VV because I didn’t want to farm CW and if I farmed noblesse, I’d never leave noblesse. however, now that I’ve pulled jean. and because I plan to pull my boyfriend Kazuha. Whom I Need. and because I want to treat my venti well. you see. it seems that Ya Girl will be stuck in VV forever as well actually. haha that’s so crazy no way. what? what?

Ideally I’d get. 3 sets of 4VV. but that’s impossible so I’ll lower my needs and aim for two 2p sets, and one 4p set. also I just need a 2piece hp% maiden’s for diona. somehow. that’s. impossible? I’m not even being that picky with substats. but wow…. wow… it really is that hard. if I get maiden’s … it’s a 50/50 on whether it’ll be an anemo damage goblet or not. I have 5 5* anemo damage goblets in my inventory. 4 of them are maiden’s. think about that. also. THEYRE NOT EVEN THAT GOOD. I KNOW because I was like wow! I have my pick for goblets for jean! I DON’T!!!

anyway, doing domains on coop is so fun. for VV, I run venti unless someone has a better venti [one time someone did have a better venti but they switched out and it was so awkward I felt so bad and THEN I DIED IN THE DOMAIN IT WAS SO EMBARASSING AND THEY WAITED FOR ME TO WALK BACK UP IT WAS SO EMBARASSING] … but if other people wanna bring their ventis I’m fine with letting them have a try because I wanna see how my venti with no legitimate set does against theirs… spoiler alert: usually I’m the better-invested venti… many people actually struggle to hit 1k with their ults. WHICH BTW ISN’T THAT GOOD. he should hit 3k per crit. but it’s FINE. ITS FINE. my venti will do that eventually!!!

anyway venti is not only broke in vv domain, but also ngl kinda necessary. or at least like, he definitely makes it easier. esp if you’re playing with weaker players [which I am one of ngl] … I got oneshotted really early into a round by the fatui agent and the rest of the team went down one by one… sad AF :’(

after this, which will be like 8 months I guess, I’ll get to noblesse. bc 4pc bloodstained is such a funny idea for yanfei and it'll save my ass ngl. everyone needs noblesse and my physical carries need bloodstained and YANFEI can benefit from bloodstained so like... it's just really funny and worth it.... I'll probably run xq on 4pc noblesse until I can farm HoD... this is all so far off but like...after all that farming I'l probablyyyyy have a noblesse set for diona if I really Really Need It.....

originally, I wanted artifacts first cuz I put off artifact farming for SO LONG. but most probably? I’ll 70/70 my jean, 6/6/6 her and then get into artifact farming. It’s fine if I don’t prep mora and exp books for Kazuha he’ll have a mad artifact set OK. be lvl 1 and hit 6k crits Idk.

omg here's what THE ADDITION OF JEAN allows for my teamz.
I've been having this problem where my razor team has really bad syngery and I don't have healing or shielding. however, now that I have JEAN, I can give Diona to Razor and run 2X 'NEMO ON my yanfei team. if u immediately don't know why that's good, it's good because diona only gives 10% stamina redux on her shield which isn't always up versus -15% stamina consumption AND extra movement speed<3 oh man. it's gonna be so good. also if u can read my mind FUCK YEAH I'M RUNNING DOUBLE-UPS ON BOTH TEAMS!!! as always teams listed in order of slot.

#main: venti - xingqiu - jean - yanfei
anemo reasonance... soooo good. it'll be so good. jeanventi anemo battery for each other, one of them runs 4vv for pyro res redux, xq provides vapes, yanfei is Out There doing Damage...
ideally, works like this: venti will clump them together because clumping enemies together means yanfei doesn't take damage; if yanfei does take damage, jean can provide HEALS! and especially epically...everyone is a subdps support here... so Damage?! hopefully. this is obviously my better invested team… given both jean and venti will be 6/8/8 and everyone is going to be At Least A5…

2: xiangling - kaeya - diona - razor
I might actually switch xiangling and diona's slots hmm. anyway, cryo resonance. arguably the best reasonance. anyway, diona solves all of RAZOR IS FRAGILE BABY problems, and everyone is an off-field support! which is what razor needs most in world. their durations & CDs are... Interesting. but I'm sure it'll be FINE. obviously superconduct is always procc'd. there's an argument for bringing fish or someone else in favour of xiangling; ideally fish for battery reasons, but I have c6 xiangling, and she's more or less built so I think it's more efficient. and if I really really need to, I can run my r2 fav lance on xiangling for the extra particles. kaeya's going to run 4 noblesse because I'm going to get more mileage out of subdps build in xiangling... this team also has the added bonus of occasional melts LOL. idk I feel very positively about it!!! might try this team out on dvalin who's imo the most annoying terrible battle ever. and who I also can't two cycle with yf ;_;
this team is like…OK investment… I think the ideal rotation with be xiangling eq > kaeya eq > diona e > razor eqe .. razor’s burst lasts the longest… like his burst uptime is the duration of everyone else’s CDs so it might work out. definitely need wayyyy more practice with razor aaah.

#overworld: venti – xingqiu – diona - yanfei
my current overworld team is missing someone who’s passive decreases sprinting stamina. and it’s . really really noticeable. especially since my team used to have TWO characters whose passives were sprint reduction. HOW TIDES CHANGE…. still this team is so fun and good. cuz all of them can hit in venti’s burst. and just with how my rotations work, venti’s burst will absorb either cyro or hydro and it’s just. free amplified reactions. ehe! also imo, diona has the best voicelines [‘pew pew!’, ‘I’m flying!’, ‘let’s go let’s go!’, all her assorted cat noises… CUPIE OF WORLDDD] and looks the cutest when looking at npcs… im diona fan :3
also OMGGG with my previous 3 melee, 2 physical, 1 venti team… I had A Time taking out eye of the storms… ruin guards, ruin hunters, geovishaps…. all that…. and you’re like, Ok but when u switch over to 2nemo, you’re going to have the same problems. anemo slimes…the anemo hypostasis, eye of storms. I just think u have no idea how yanfei and xq work. I’ll be real. did u know yf’s skill can hit midair? it’s hilarious. vape is sooo good. everything melts ngl.

>most exciting of all, I bit the bullet and levelled up two of my martial artist pieces and I think all it did was make my yf dmg more consistent and a little better... CR/CD stayed the same basically... but more importantly, it freed up More of my Artifacts and now xq finally has his flower back. thank god. Ok it's not like he's ever going to crit for that 110% CD but still.

hihi...you know, really, I'm nothing if not a lover of combat mechanics. so, updates on the rooster and more planz. I think so much of the appeal of genshin is even though the resin system is frustrating the weekday system allows you to streamline the way you'll spend it... Idk it's so fun to have a plan for the week in terms of what you'll do with your resin.

BTW: sorry for being so insane and crazy about this...it's just like...my current most enjoyable passtime or something. Idk something something video games making u feel like you've accomplished something...

some exciting updates to my team roster. haha.

I was 2 pulls away from 4* pity on rosaria banner, but I ended up using all my incoming primos on the weapons in hopes for skyward harp for ventimonious... did not win that...but now I have r2 fav codex/r4 fav sword/r3 fav warbow/r1 fav lance... all I'm missing from this series is the greatsword ... tho lmfao sac. greatsword is the only sac. weapon I have... isn't that funny. anyway, new banner just dropped and it had an elemental DPS on it... and u know what I need In My Team.... [cries silently in 2 claymore phys main dps] ... that's Right. and ya girl, for the first time in her gacha I Guess, Got Lucky! YANFEI CAME HOMEEEEEE. she's so fun to play but stamina....stamina.... also jump canceling is um hard, so I always dash cancel, but when u have no stamina and also when u need stamina to charge attack u literally can't dash cancel. it's crazy.

first of all I just think this is so good...it's so haunting to click on the fragment and just read the 'Sorry...', just immediately moving, especially if you've been primed with all the frost-related lore in the game already [blizzard strayer lore]. the chunk then gives you the second line, which I think is also quite tugging because of 'to also have you' and then when you finally make a gemstone [which will take a while in-game], it's an apology as well for the coldness of (...) ...it's all... Ah... Ahhhh. Ah. thematically it hits on a lot of things I like. from the genshin fandom wiki: in the original chinese, the title is 'Grieving/Lamenting Ice' ... again, Ah, Of Course.

the other gems also get lore and lines, but I think the jade has the best one, and comparable, though not as good is: the agnidus agate series:

first of all can I just say, The Jean Paralleling in Dream. I think where Vennessa rose and where Jean is failing, is the want for the others to be stronger versus want for yourself to be stronger. Vennessa realizing that true freedom for her could only be granted if the people could rely on themselves, versus Jean forsaking the freedom she's sworn to protect and chaining herself with the thought that the only way for Free Mondstadt is if she's strong enough to keep it as such. anyway...this is just really delicious lore about how these objects came to be and what each step truly meant... again just this part: "It's a human thing to exaggerate on a hero's story, (...) In truth, all gladiators would have worn chains in that era, and Vennessa was but one of them."

ah this always gets to me... again < your own destruction to the end of your purpose > ... the users being fischl/sucrose/ningguang/kaeya...the unsubtlty at it's finest. ningguang prime example, having to give up the jade chamber, a symbol of her status in liyue, as well as the place most sacred to her in every aspect [what she loves the most, what all her success has accumulated to] to save Liyue... it's just insane. in similar lines, both sucrose and fischl have very childish ideals/delusions [sucrose's wonderland/Prinzessin] to cope with their situations, and the implication that they'll have to give up on those to face their realities... and well, Kaeya. kya. you know how it is.

the thing about games, versus games and plot, versus games and gameplay, is that like regardless of whether I get into something for the plot/characters, if I play it all that matters to me is the gameplay. ar41 rn...

so in terms of characters I have [in order of summonings]: free6 + xingqiu + c5 xiangling + xinyan + c1 lisa + razor + beidou + c1 razor + venti.

a5 lvl.70 / windblume ode (r5, lvl80) / 2p scholar, 2p instructor, 4* anemo goblet
>completely via rng luck he is the character with the best dmg on my team rn. I think everything he has rolled crit rate and dmg, and then rolled into crit dmg. it's like 40:90 rate:dmg. he also has pretty insane er... about 170%... it's so funny, this shit can literally kill a man.. that's bc again, all his artifacts substats also rolled into er.
>6k crits with his e. which is pretty good at the level I’m at rn. For me. it's 7k with a swirled element. and thennn....800 crits on every hit of his ult....again with like 400 for whatever swirled element
>he makes domains and overworld mobs so easy... and he’s alright for other stuff. I did a full boss breakdown on twitter but like, other than childe there's no point bringing him to most bosses.

some assorted notes:

I use venti/kaeya/razor/xinyan [they’re keyed in that order] the most, really really solid team with good synergy imo... depending on enemy resistance and type either venti/kaeya/razor will get switched out for xiangling/amber,
girls who are only trying to use superconduct but 9 times out of 10 are setting overloaded...raise your hand!
I have two favonious swords. yeah I pulled a second one. useful because this just means I have one for kaeya and one for xq now <3 praying I pull a sac. sword tho bc it would be so much more useful on xq
I think after Rosaria I will channel my energy into WEAPON BANNERS. other than a diluc, there are not many other characters I wanna play with... tho like I do need klee. for cuteness overload. and albedo just cuz he looks fun to play. but the chances for reruns......ah...not looking great....

anyway, there's so much shit to do in this game. which is apparently a problem for people at the endgame where there isn't shit to do...but like I've been playing for a month and like I'm pretty close ish to endgame and it feels like there's still a lot to do... I'm going to write a different post about my fave characters/agendas/lore-sms....
